1. Who is responsible
1.1Miziba Infrastructure Ltd (CS063650326), Accra, Ghana, is the data controller for personal data collected through this site, the platform and the trade records.
1.2We process personal data under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and are registered with the Data Protection Commission under number [registration number].
2. What we collect
2.1On this public site: we keep no analytics and set no cookie. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security, for [period]. If you write to us, we keep your message to answer it.
2.2When you create an account: your name, your role, business email and mobile number, and the business details you enter.
2.3During the identity check: the documents listed for your country, such as company particulars, directors’ Ghana Cards or passports, a bank account in the business’s name and a tax identification number.
3. People recorded on a trade
3.1Trade records also hold limited data about people who are not account holders: drivers (name, phone number and the trip’s location while it runs), field officers (name and signatures) and anyone shown in hub photographs.
3.2Recognisable people appear in published photographs only with their signed consent.
4. Why we use it, and on what basis
4.1To check who each organisation is before it takes part in a trade, as our agreements with partner banks require. Basis: our contract with your organisation and our legal obligations.
4.2To run the trades you take part in, keep their record and send you notices about them. Basis: the contract for each trade.
4.3To meet legal obligations, including anti-money-laundering checks where they apply. Basis: legal obligation.
4.4We never sell personal data and never use it for advertising.
5. Who can see it
5.1Each party to a trade sees only the details its role needs. Partner banks see what their credit and compliance processes require for the trades they fund.
5.2Service providers who host or secure the platform process data on our instructions and under contract.
5.3Where a trade is financed by Miziba Trade Facility Ltd, a related company, it sees only what any finance partner sees for the trades it funds.
5.4Where a buyer or finance partner is outside Ghana, the details its role needs are transferred to it with the safeguards Act 843 requires.
6. How we protect it
6.1Access is limited by role, sign-in from a new device is confirmed with a code, and the record is append-only. [Encryption and hosting standards to be confirmed.]
7. Where it is kept and for how long

7.2Trade records and identity check documents are kept for as long as the law and our bank agreements require, and no longer than [period] after the last trade unless the law requires longer.

9. Cookies after sign-in
9.1After you sign in we use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure. Any other measurement will be off until you agree to it.
